Since 2008 and continuing into 2010, teachers and directors from vocational education schools will be eligible for in-service training in the areas of the integration of subject and language studies, e-learning and intercultural differences. The project will lead to the development of an in-service training programme for vocational school teachers which is equivalent to 4 CP and during which they will not only be able to add to their knowledge of the ways in which subject and language studies can be combined, but also get the chance to spend a month teaching at another vocational school in another language.

 

The training programme for school directors is the equivalent of 2 CP and is designed for those in charge of vocational schools in which there are Russian-language study groups or adjustment groups. The directors who take part in the training will obtain knowledge about bilingual education, e-learning and integrated subject and language studies. In addition to the above, a system of advisory services will also be developed for school directors in the area of bilingual education, with a pilot course being organised for up to 20 advisors.
